Neurodiversity and communication

This workshop will share good practice examples, resources and tips on how to improve your engagement and communication with neurodivergent families to influence and create change.

Neurodiversity and communication

28 June 2023 | 1.00pm-3.00pm | Online

Outdated views on Special Educational Needs (SEN) focus on communication deficits rather than embracing the range of communication skills and supports that can help practitioners effectively engage with neurodivergent people. Experts Three Sisters Consultancy will share tools, resources and tips on how to improve your engagement and communication with neurodivergent families.

In this training you will learn more about:

  • What neurodiversity means and who is affected
  • Communication differences and strengths
  • Developing your own language to be more accessible to neurodivergent people
  • Visual communication tools that can be adapted to your setting

Feedback from attendees at other training delivered by Three Sisters Consultancy

Fantastic session. This should be offered to as many people as possible. Corrie was brilliant at delivering the course and her knowledge is amazing!

I have a better understanding of how the children are feeling and see the world. I feel more confident to support this with variety of strategies.

This session was incredibly helpful and informative. It provided real-life examples and explained the topics in-depth. The delivery was excellent and totally accessible and focused on ensuring our understanding of the topic. Overall, an incredible session.
